We climbed it last weekend. It's a ski hill, which meant for wide open trails. It was windy & snowy, but a great hike.
It was definitely alpine at the top.
This is the view from my deck, as of yesterday. The deck is a couple of feet off the ground. We have plenty of snow.
Skiing in the White Mountains, we saw this storm on one of the upper slopes. The trees were all white with snow, but where we were there was none.

The sun is so low in the sky, twilight starts before 4 pm. Here's last night's sunset - over Maquoit Bay. Low tide, about 4:15 pm.
And here's Crystal Spring Farm, with the recently bred ewes out in the snow. CSF, among other things, is used for breeding sheep from all over the east coast. The ewes are shipped, bred, brought to term, and then returned to their homes. The lambing in the spring is festive and fun. When I see this view at this time of year it reminds me of a photograph in the Bowdoin College Museum of Art of a gas station called "It Must be Winter, the Doors are Down."
Another storm, and more expected Sunday! This is my backyard. There are crocuses under there somewhere.
This would have looked a whole lot prettier if it had come in January!
Yesterday was a gray day following a major storm. It was still nice to be out in the woods, which were very quiet.
Well, I guess the storm wasn't quite over.
We thought about skiing on the river, as it was covered with snow and looked inviting. A little further down, there was open water. Good thing we didn't!
